COLUMBIA, S.C. (Oct. 7, 2025) The Liberty Fellowship Class of 2025 has completed a values-based 18-month leadership program and made a lifetime commitment to use their creativity, energy, and resources to tackle the most urgent social issues in South Carolina. These Fellows join a global network of more than 4,000 leaders from 60 countries, with more than 300 of these leaders improving the lives of 5.3 million South Carolinians.
“Effective leaders must embrace and embody a willingness to dialogue amongst differences and solve problems with those who possess varying political, economic, and social viewpoints,” said Tycely Williams, CEO of Liberty Fellowship. “The Class of 2025 leads in a highly polarized and fractured moment in time. We commend these values-driven leaders for strengthening their understanding of local and global complexities and for embracing civil discourse, as the starting point for tackling critical issues in South Carolina and beyond.”
Founded in 2003, Liberty Fellowship identifies leaders who have demonstrated success and possess a desire to sharpen dimensions of their leadership potential. Through moderated, text-based dialogue with a diverse cohort of peers, Fellows explore leadership models, construct their vision of a “good society,” and drive action to increase the depth and scale of professional pursuits, philanthropic interests, or community-centered passions.
Liberty Fellowship enables Fellows to forge deep bonds that transcend geographical, sectoral, and ideological boundaries. For more than twenty years, we’ve helped leaders working within South Carolina increase understanding, strengthen tolerance, and power propensity to drive social solutions across political, economic, and social differences.
Fellows attended a series of multi-day seminars in South Carolina and abroad, tackling complex challenges and learning strategies to respond to the ever-changing local and global landscape.
Each seminar leveraged a 75-year-old distinctive text-based dialogue approach — a proven methodology for deep leadership transformation. Fellows engaged in exchanges that challenged assumptions and expanded their personal viewpoints. Each Fellow designed an impact venture to create lasting, positive change for future generations in South Carolina.
