Liberty Fellowship is proud to announce that John Simpkins (‘09) and Laura Ullrich (‘23) as co-chairs for the organization’s highly anticipated 20th Anniversary Celebration. The milestone event will take place from April 24 to 26, 2025, in Greenville, SC, marking two decades of meaningful impact.
As co-chairs, Simpkins and Ullrich bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to leadership that improves life and opportunity for all people in South Carolina. Their leadership is expected to elevate the celebration, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees and supporters.
Simpkins currently serves as CEO of MDC, Inc. and leads MDC’s strategic vision and partnerships, working to eliminate disparities and build a thriving South. Previously, as Vice President of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, he mobilized 3,000+ Fellows worldwide to address the COVID-19 pandemic’s impacts. Learn more about John Simpkins>>
Ullrich is a regional economist and senior manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s Charlotte branch, where she leads the Regional and Community Analysis team and oversees the Richmond Fed Survey of Community College Outcomes.
