COLUMBIA, S.C. (December 5, 2025) Liberty Fellowship is now accepting nominations for its next Class of Fellows. The nomination form is available online at libertyfellowshipsc.org/nominate.

Liberty Fellowship invites nominations for dynamic and values-driven leaders from across South Carolina’s 46 counties who have demonstrated civic engagement, leadership, and a commitment to positive community impact. While self nominations aren’t permissible, anyone may nominate a leader who meets the following criteria:

  • South Carolina resident
  • Age 35 to 55
  • Intellectually curious and open to diverse perspectives
  • Demonstrated history of significant community or civic leadership and engagement
  • Be at an “inflection point,” ready to deepen their leadership role and embrace new opportunities for growth and impact
  • Willing to engage in civil discourse, ready to question personally held beliefs with respectful and constructive dialogue
  • Possess a breadth of experience and maturity that will allow them to both contribute to and learn from their peers in the seminar experience

Liberty Fellowship will select a cohort of 21 leaders who together reflect the diversity of South Carolina across gender, geography, background, profession, and lived experience.

Selected Fellows will embark on a 14-month journey of personal and professional growth, featuring a series of multi-day seminars held in the U.S. and abroad. Each Fellow will also design an individual “impact venture”, a leadership project that advances positive change for communities across the state.  These Fellows join a global network of more than 4,000 leaders from 60 countries, with more than 300 of these leaders improving the lives of 5.3 million South Carolinians.

“Liberty Fellowship exists to help leaders sharpen their skills and strengthen their ability to work collaboratively across differences to take action for the common good,” said Tycely Williams, CEO of Liberty Fellowship. “As nominations open, we’re looking for leaders who are at a transformative stage, people ready to embrace diversity of thought, deepen their impact, and fully commit to advancing South Carolina’s success. We’re excited to welcome demonstrated values-driven leaders with an interest in building trusted relationships.”

To be considered for the Class of 2027, please submit your nomination by January 31, 2026. For more information, including the nomination form, selection criteria, and process overview, visit libertyfellowshipsc.org/nominate.
